The media has bombarded us with sound bites and stereotypes. Sometimes we are told that Islam is a religion of peace. Yet the more disturbing and frequent picture painted is of militant Islam. How can we distinguish fact from fiction? |

Many people have come up with their definitions of “spiritual formation.” But what matters most is what is in your heart: what are your longings for your relationship with God? In this webinar we will give you time to articulate your longings, look at your past to see where God has been working, and study a model for how faith develops in a believer. We will also look at the four movements of prayer and uncover what obstacles might keep us from prayer. |

We may differ on our views of Islam and how to oppose or minimize acts of terror. But we can all agree that there is no separate gospel for wartime and peacetime. We are called to share our faith, “in season and out of season.” The message of God’s love in Christ is for all times, all places and all peoples. Moreover, followers of Jesus are called to love their neighbors and enemies. They are called to pursue peace with all people. So how do we share our faith, love Muslims, and pursue peace … yet deal with evil, such as terrorism? How can we love Muslims and deal with terrorists? Attend the webinar and find out!

Did you know that current research suggests that Short Term Missions (STM) consumes roughly 4 billion of our outreach dollars from the United States? Research also confirms that STM continues to be a growing part of the U.S. Christian culture. This reality has contributed to the fragmented condition of missions work with a seemingly infinite number of possibilities, priorities, and agendas at play. Not surprisingly, there is little opportunity to see the big picture and fully understand how it all works together and how we can best fit in to what the Father is doing.
This online training session is a two-part series designed to encourage new thinking about STM and to give the local church practical ways to manage, measure and maximize our efforts.
In this second part, we will focus on the creativity of doing STM. We will provide practical and creative ways of designing missions that are less “cookie cutter” and more strategic in meeting the needs and opportunities of our 21st century world.
